 Hand painted appropriation by Hushidar Mortezaie of a pack of 57 cigarettes from Iran onto a metal mesh cigarette bag with clasp. In the Iranian calendar the year of the Islamic Revolution was 1357 or 1979 in post Gregorian terms...so is that year your cancer or your addiction or your relief? No matter ...as Lacan says every drive is a death drive. Persian on one side and english on the other.Using his own signature technique he invented back in the 00's, Hushidar has perfected his own special process done by hand and then sealed to protect the artwork. Painted on both sides, this is one of a kind.
